Southampton are eager to pursue the signing of Adam Armstrong from Blackburn Rovers.
The Saints are even willing to use Michael Obafemi as part of the deal, per The Sun.
Rovers are very enthused about the Republic of Ireland international and may be more willing to let Armstrong go if they can secure the 21-year-old.
Blackburn value goalscorer Armstrong at £25 million, but the Saints are likely to make a bid of closer to £8 million with Obafemi included.
Armstrong netted 28 goals and managed five assists in 40 Championship games for Blackburn last term.
