Southampton are intent on securing Nathaniel Clyne to a contract extension according to reports.
The Daily Star suggests that the Saints are determined to ward off Manchester United's expected pursuit of the full-back at the end of the season by increasing his salary.
Clyne reportedly earns £25,000-a-week on the contract that runs until the summer of 2016 but Southampton are looking to retain him by offering closer to £45,000 for at least two more years at St Mary's.
