Southampton are preparing a new contract offer for Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Sunday Mirror says Saints now believe Schneiderlin, 24, may be inclined to talk about a new deal to stay at St Mary's, after an excellent start to the season.
Schneiderlin, 24, is under contract until the summer of 2017, having signed a £30,000-a-week agreement in February 2013.
Yet it is believed that Saints are willing to offer him a significant boost in his wages to end Tottenham's interest.
