Southampton defender Jose Fonte says manager Mauricio Pochettino deserves credit for Jay Rodriguez's success.
Of Rodriguez's 13 goals this season, 11 have come in the Premier League.
It is an impressive return for someone who is not deployed as an out-and-out striker.
But Fonte says Pochettino's willingness to let Rodriguez roam has helped him improve his tally.
He told the Daily Echo: "He has a lot of freedom. I know he plays on the left, but the gaffer gives him a lot of freedom.
"He can drift into the middle and he's been scoring his goals. It's good for him, and hopefully he can continue."
