Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl is demanding quick improvement from his side.
They were defeated 1-0 by Cardiff City in a relegation six pointer.
But Hasenhuttl, who only had a couple days to work with the team before the game, knows they must dust themselves off and go again.
He said after the game: "Confidence comes with good results. A 1-0 here is not a good result.
"We should prepare them and they have to believe in what we are doing.
"I saw today they do it for a very long time and then it would be perfect if you get some good results for the self-confidence.
"We didn't and we have to work on and when we work on I am sure they will come."
