Southampton boss Hasenhuttl challenges on-loan pair Danso, Walker-Peters

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has left the door open to permanently signing on-loan Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker-Peters.

Walker-Peters has struggled for game time since his arrival but Hasenhuttl made it clear that he's yet to make his mind up about the defender.

“I've not decided yet," Saints' boss explained.

“He will stay with us to the end of the season with us and we have now 8 games in the short term so it's quite likely he can start one game or two games or whatever.

“It's important that we trust every player who is with us and I do this - and when he gets the chance he will make a good game."

The same is also the case for fellow loanee Kevin Danso, on-loan from Augsburg.

"Same as Kyle, I haven't decided yet (about making a permanent move)," Hasenhuttl added.

"Let them play the last eight games, let me look how far he is in his development, how quick he takes it and we have time to decide it.

"Everybody should get the chance to show up in the last games."
