South Shields striker Dylan Stephenson has hopes of a future with parent club Newcastle.
Stephenson is on-loan at South Shields and is off contract at Newcastle in June.
He told ChronicleLive: “I'm in the last year of my contract so I want to improve here, do well here and hopefully get a good move in the summer or a new deal at Newcastle.
“I needed to get men's football and getting that under your belt at 21 is very important. I want to do what I can do what I can here and hopefully give Newcastle something to think about.
“If it doesn't work out with Newcastle, I have to do well here at South Shields because I know I could get a move into the Football League or the National League on the back of that."
