South Korea sack and SLAM Germany great Klinsmann

South Korea have sacked coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

Klinsmann has paid after a disappointing run to the Asian Cup semifinals.

KFA President Chung Mong-gyu said of the former Germany coach: "Coach Klinsmann failed to demonstrate leadership that we expected from the national team coach, including game management, player management and work attitude, which elevate the competitiveness of the national team."

Klinsmann won the World Cup and the Euros with Germany as a player.

KFA technical director Hwangbo Kwan also stated: "We've reached a consensus that Klinsmann cannot exercise his leadership as national team head coach for various reasons and that a change of leadership is necessary."
