Solskjaer missed four signings at Man Utd

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer asked executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward for seven transfers this summer, it's been revealed.

United brought in Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, but the Express says Solskjaer was hoping for four others to join his rebuild at Old Trafford.

The report names the players as Sean Longstaff, Jadon Sancho, Paulo Dybala and Christian Eriksen, and provides reasons why each player remained at their clubs.

Longstaff and Sancho were ultimately valued too highly by their current clubs, while Dybala and Eriksen came closer to joining, but both deals were late, opportunistic options and ultimately failed to be agreed.
