Former Wellington Phoenix striker Shane Smeltz has won his second Oceania Player of the Year award.
The Gold Coast United signing was also named the New Zealand Player of the Year after his eight goals in the All Whites World Cup qualifying campaign.
The 27-year old became the fifth player to win the award twice joining a star-studded list of names such as Christian Karembeu, Harry Kewell, Robbie Slater and Wynton Rufer.
"I've seen some of the players who have won the award in the past and I feel privileged to be part of that list," he said.
