Tottenham have announced that Moussa Sissoko has undergone surgery on his right knee.

The club announced in a statement that following clinical assessment and scans, the 30 year old underwent surgery on Tuesday to operate on the medial collateral ligament in the midfielder's right knee.

The club state that they will monitor the France international's recovery before he commences rehabilitation, but they do not expect him to return to training until at least early April.
