Sinisa Mihajlovic has been named new coach of Sporting CP.

The decision was announced on Monday evening after he flew in to sign the three-year contract.

Mihajlovic started last season in charge of Torino.

Sporting players were physically assaulted by a group of fans after failing to qualify for the Champions League, and a number of them have rescinded their contracts as a result.

Mihajlovic has been out of work since Toro fired him on January 8.
