Silva delighted Man City stuck with Pellegrini

Manchester City star David Silva admits he is thrilled to continue working with Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chilean tactician was being heavily linked with an Etihad Stadium exit late last season after relinquishing the Premier League title to Chelsea and going through the campaign without a trophy.

However, City's owners and board have opted to remain with Pellegrini at the helm which has been warmly welcomed by Spanish playmaker Silva.

"He's been our coach for two years and he is a coach who likes to play attacking football so for the attacking players it is very good and we want to keep playing that way," he told Sky Sports News HQ.

City are set to embark on a pre-season tour of Australia and Asia which kicks off with a July 18 fixture with sister club Melbourne City on the Gold Coast before taking on AS Roma in Melbourne on July 21 and Real Madrid three days later as part of the 2015 International Champions Cup.
