Silva backing colleague Sterling to ‘make history’ with Man City

David Silva believes Raheem Sterling has what it takes to become a bonafide star of the Manchester City Football Club.

The Spanish playmaker admits he has been impressed by the talented winger since he arrived at City from Liverpool in the summer and is backing him to have a major influence at the club over the years.

"The first one I would say is Raheem," he told The Guardian of Sterling.

"He is going to make history. He's technically very gifted and he's got a lot more to come.

"He has only just turned 21, so he is going to improve and get more experience, and read the games a lot better. He has a lot more time to prove how good he is – and he is pretty good already.

"It's not just his ability either. He has a great personality that is going to help him a lot."
