Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho believes playing in front of an empty crowd could be a disadvantage for he and his teammates.
City will take on Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League Round of 16 in February but UEFA have hit the Ukrainian club with a stadium ban which is set to add a further obstacle to the expected freezing conditions at the Olympic Stadium.
However, City's Fernandinho believes it is simply part of the game at this level to overcome these types of challenges in order to achieve success.
"I've played a few times in stadiums where the fans have been banned and it's just not the same," he told the club's official website.
"We need to concentrate and focus on the job on the night. Most of us have been professionals for 10 years or more and always play in front of good crowds, so to walk out to an empty, silent stadium is tough.
"To me, it's all about focus and concentration levels have to be high and we have to make sure we return home with a good result."
