Lack of egos in England team has helped them reach the World Cup semi-final, according to legendary goalkeeper Peter Shilton.
The Three Lions are enjoying an amazing World Cup campaign in Russia as they have reached the last four for the first time since 1990.
Shilton, a member of the squad that played in the semi-final 28 years ago, puts it down to solidarity within the current crop of players.
"There's not one ego in the team," Shilton said to Sky Sports News. "There's no big player saying look I'm the star of the tournament, this is all about me, the publicity is about me.
"Our best player is Harry Kane and look how humble he is. I think that is what the squad is all about. Their togetherness is a big factor in their success."
England will face Croatia on Wednesday in a push for their first World Cup final since 1966 home triumph.
