England legend Peter Shilton is a big fan of Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.
Shilton - the last Stoke goalkeeper to represent England nearly 40 years ago - believes Butland's time has come this evening against Italy.
"I think Roy Hodgson has to play him really," Shilton told The Sentinel, "for the simple reason we obviously know what Joe Hart can do and Rob Green has already played and got experience.
"So I suppose in a way it's logical for Butland to be given some experience, in what I would call a high-class friendly in Italy, because we've got to take a look at him before the Euros next year.
"I would think he would get at least part of the game in Italy, if not all of it. If he gets his chance, I'll certainly be watching keenly."
