Sheffield Utd boss Wilder fighting to keep hold of Celtic target Baldock

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is fighting to keep hold of George Baldock.

Celtic manager boss Neil Lennon is searching for a new right-back following the exits of Mikael Lustig, Jeremy Toljan and Cristian Gamboa.

And The Sun says Lennon had identified Baldock as one of his top targets for the position, but Sheffield United are reluctant to sell the defender.

It's said that Baldock is keen to speak to Parkhead chiefs, despite the Blades' Premier League promotion.

But Wilder wants to keep the 26-year-old, who is entering the final year of his contract, and is prepared to risk losing him for nothing next summer.
