Zheng Zheng's first half goal was the difference between the sides as Shandong replaced Shanghai Shenhua at the summit following their 1-1 draw with Jiangsu Shuntian.
In other CSL matches, Tianjin Teda grabbed their first win of the season, defeating Dalian Shide 2-1 away, Changchun Yatai were served well by a Johnny Woodly Lambert double as they won 2-0 at home over Qingdao Jonoon, Liaoning Hongyun defeated Hangzhou Lucheng 1-0, Shaanxi Chanba and Henan Jianye played out a 1-1 draw, Beijing Guoan and Changsha Ginde had a scoreless draw whilst Nanchang Bayi lost to Chongqing Lifan 5-2 in a goalfest with Jose and Wu Qing both netting doubles for the victors.
