Sevilla vice-president Del Nido Carrasco: My father wants to sell to Americans

Sevilla vice-president José María Del Nido Carrasco admits his father wants to sell the club to 777 Partners.

The US firm is currently an investor in the LaLiga outfit.

Del Nido Carrasco said, "My father does not want to manage the club with the families of Sevillistas, he wants to do it with the Americans. That's the real problem. The four signatories said that the consensus people who had to manage the club were José Castro and me.

"I have never betrayed or lied to my father. The differences occurred 30 minutes after signing the pact because he wanted to break it and I refused. I wanted to live uprightly and according to my word and legality. From there our positions clashed. The first thing my father suggested to me was to fire José Castro, when we had given him four years in office."

He continued: "My father on July 13, 2020 signed an agreement with the Americans that breaches the pact with us. He agreed to sell them 3,000 shares and then 125 shares every three months. As a culmination, they propose among themselves doing a capital increase and keeping the club and then selling it.

"I imagine they will be more interested in that plan. That is documented. That agreement of theirs also has an expiration date of 2027. My father has the solution. We have held his hand many times and he doesn't want to.

"The Sevillistas are waiting for him, the only thing we don't want is for the Americans to draw up the plan we have thought-out.

"That would also mean giving up all legal actions."

He also stated: "In an environment of continuous tension we have qualified the team four times for the Champions League and we have played in four finals and won two titles. All this does a lot of damage to Sevilla.

"Hearing my father say that he is going to kick them all out, that in some areas there are records and they work magnificently. I send a message of support and ask you not to give up, even though you are constantly told that they are going to be fired from your jobs."
