Sevilla pair Bono, Jordan 'devastated' after West Ham defeat

Sevilla goalkeeper Bono says defeat at Europa League opponents West Ham is "devastating".

The 2-0 loss saw Sevilla eliminated in the round of 16 2-1 on aggregate.

Bono said, "It's devastating to be knocked out. But we know we have to move on, football doesn't stop here and we have to stand tall and try to win the league matches we have left.

"We played well, played how we wanted to and had a couple of chances which we should have taken. But we got very tired in extra time and couldn't do our job. West Ham hemmed us in to our own half. But we still gave everything until the end."

Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan also said: "We're very disappointed, we had a lot of hope for this game. It's a tough blow. In the first half we did not play well, we struggled and they pressured us really well."
