Rangers star striker Alfredo Morelos could stay at the Ibrox club for another nine months.
The attacker is wanted by a host of teams around Europe.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has shown no inclination to sign a new deal with the Scottish giants either.
According to The Athletic, there is a suggestion that Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team could lose Morelos on a free transfer next season.
He is able to sign a pre-contract with any team outside of Scotland in January.
Sevilla are the team with the strongest interest in Morelos, despite his antics at Rangers in recent weeks.
They would be eager to secure him on a free transfer.
