Sevilla furious with Jules Kounde for putting Chelsea move in jeopardy

Sevilla are furious with Jules Kounde for putting his sale to Chelsea in jeopardy.

Kounde aggravated an old pelvic injury while playing for France in their 1-0 home defeat by Croatia in the Nations League on Monday night - lasting just 45 minutes. He underwent surgery on Tuesday.

The Sun says Sevilla are fuming that their £69million asset could have risked being sold this summer.

The LaLiga outfit are firmly aware of Chelsea's interest and wish to capitalise fully on that by holding out for the defender's full release clause which is set at €80m.

Despite the setback, Sevilla are still hoping to conclude a quick deal with Chelsea who are short of centre backs following Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen's departures.
