Sevilla coach Quique Sanchez Flores felt Real Madrid deserved Sunday's win.

Real won 1-0 thanks to Luka Modric's goal.

Sanchez Flores later said: "We haven't suffered too much for what this team is, for what it demands. It takes you back, it interrupts you, the intensity in defence when they recover the ball... In the first half we were more balanced defence-attack, more controlled in the middle.

"With fresher starts, more legs. We found options and in the second half they subjected us a little more. In the changes we did not come out very favoured."

He also said: "Any team, in any sport, when they talk about success they always talk about defence. The teams that win LaLiga tend to be the ones with the fewest goals scored. They have players who hurt you and the key has been in the two very clear chances that we have had that would have put us ahead in two very important moments. We knew we would have these moments and we were not right.

"And Madrid was right in the second half."
