Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli says he's on the margins of Isco's situation.
The Spain midfielder only moved to Sevilla in the summer from Real Madrid, though is up for sale in January.
Wolves are in talks to sign Isco, where his former Real and Spain coach Julen Lopetegui is now in charge.
Sampaoli said: “It is a situation that does not involve me. My role as a coach is to see what players I have available and work with them.
"Isco has a capacity well marked by his career. The decision of who stays or who leaves is a matter for the club, not for the coach. I pigeonhole myself in the players I have and that they arrive in the best way.
"Isco hasn't played in friendlies because in recent times he hasn't been like the rest of the players."
