Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui has issued a positive update on preseason training.

Sevilla beat FC Dallas 3-1 in their latest friendly fixture, and Lopetegui is content with his players' progress, after the test against a team who are currently in the middle of their MLS season.

"The important thing to take from this match is that everyone participated, with some playing more than others," he said after the match.

"It's all the better that we gave minutes to all players," he stated.

"There are positive things to take, but we must be calm.

Despite the victory and solid performance, Lopetegui still feels there is plenty of work to be done.

"There is a lot more pre-season to play and a lot to adjust.

"The important thing is to finetune the team and that there are not injuries," he concluded.
