Sevilla considered, then discarded, Raul for their vacant coaching position this week.
The Real Madrid Castilla coach was discussed inside the board room, before they pulled back.
That's according to Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, when speaking on El Chiringuito.
He revealed: "I thought it was entirely ruled out, but there is a division of opinion. Much of the Sevilla Board of Directors does not want Raúl González because he comes from Madrid.
"There is some enmity to Madrid, it means that some sector does not want Raúl in the ranks of the entity. who gains a lot of power, they tell me, is the name of Marcelino."
Sevilla have since turned to former Uruguay coach Diego Alonso as their new appointment.
