Stephane Sessegnon is considering his options at Sunderland.
The People says Sessegnon is pining for a move back to France - after his family failed to settle in England.
The 27-year-old African - signed from Paris Saint-Germain for £6million in January - is currently starring for Steve Bruce's side in a wide role after starting the season as a striker.
But his five children have remained in France and now Sessegnon's wife is spending less and less time on Wearside, setting the alarm bells ringing at the Stadium of Light.
Several French clubs - including Marseille - have been alerted to the situation and could make a move in January.
