Sergino Dest is delighted with his move to Barcelona.

The former Ajax fullback has joined Barca in a deal worth €21m.

"Everything I'm experiencing is incredible," said Dest. "It is an honour to be able to play for the best team in the world and a dream come true.

"I come here to have the opportunity to play with the best in the world. The first thing I want to do is improve, play well ... and then try to win everything."

Dest admits he was close to choosing Bayern Munich before Barca made contact.

"Until two weeks ago I thought I would become a Bayern Munich player. However, Bayern did not offer enough and Barça made a proposal. Everything changed.

"My mind changed and I thought more and more about Barça."

He added: "With the transfer to such a beautiful club a dream has come true."
