Sean Longstaff says his priority is a new deal with Newcastle United.
Speaking ahead of the clash with Tottenham, the former Blackpool and Kilmarnock loanee outlined his hopes to continue playing for his boyhood club.
He told broadcaster Andy Sixsmith: “I'm from 15 mins down the road - the family are season-ticket holders. Why wouldn't I want to be a part of a powerhouse in world football in the future? I'm focused on being the best player I can be - and hopefully that's here.
“To play for Newcastle United as a fan… we always say if we're retired, we'll come back to St James' and it'll be Champions League nights and games to win titles.
"We're the first building block in that."
