Newcastle United are looking at 20-year-old John McAtee from Scunthorpe United.

The youngster is ever present in the Iron first team since the New Year.

He has scored two goals and provided two assists in ten games since then.

His performances in League 2 have interested the Premier League club.

McAtee scored the winning goal for Scunthorpe against Cheltenham Town in their last game, and Newcastle scouts were there to watch him.

He could be available for a modest fee in the summer.
