Schalke have expressed interest in Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny.

Sky Sports says Schalke are leading the race to sign Everton's Kenny on a season-long loan.

Premier League pair Brighton and Crystal Palace are also interested in the 22-year-old, who has fallen down the pecking order at Goodison Park following the return to fitness of Seamus Coleman.

Kenny in contracted at Everton until 2022.

Schalke are aware of Kenny via new manager David Wagner, the former Huddersfield Town boss.
