Sarri admits 'Chelsea in trouble' after beating Crystal Palace

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri admits they're "in trouble" after victory at Crystal Palace.

Olivier Giroud limped out of Selhurst Park on crutches to add to Sarri's injury concerns.

The World Cup winner now looks set to join Cesc Fabregas, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Danny Drinkwater, Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi on the sidelines.

Sarri said: “The problem is his ankle. I don't know the severity. We have to wait for tomorrow. In the last few days we have been a but unlucky.

"In 10 minutes we had three injuries – Fabregas, Loftus and Drinkwater – then Giroud, and we were already without Pedro and Odoi.

"We are in trouble because, in January, we have to play every three days. Fabregas is a neck problem.

"The injury was in the last five minutes of training, so I'm not sure whether he has to rest for two or 10 days. I will have a meeting with the doctor this evening."
