Santos president Luis Álvaro de Oliveira admits there was no stopping Neymar from joining Barcelona last year.
Oliveira confirms Real Madrid offered more money, but Neymar only wanted Barca to be his next destination.
"I was sick, so Odilo Rodrigues, my vice president, assumed the presidency and it was he who held talks with Barcelona and Madrid," recalled Oliveira.
"He told me that the Merengues' proposal was higher, but the will of the player was certain and his destination path was: he wanted to go to Barcelona, ??period."
Oliveira also confirmed that as part of the sale, Barcelona "have the option to sign three of our prospects".
