HJK Helsinki midfielder Mika Vayrynen has labelled Georgios Samaras as Celtic's 'biggest threat' ahead of the Champions League qualifiers between the two clubs.
The Hoops host the Finns at Parkhead on Wednesday night in the first leg of the third round of qualifying with the return bout in Helsinki next week and Vayrynen feels that his former Heerenveen teammate is the man to stop for Antti Muurinen's side.
"I know Georgios very well from my first period at Heerenveen," said the 30-year old who has also played with PSV Eindhoven and Leeds United.
"You could see his potential and although he wanted to play more than he did he still did well before moving to England.
"Manchester City was more difficult for him than he expected but he's been doing well for Celtic and I'm not surprised.
"Also, he plays regularly for Greece and does well for them in the big matches, so I know he's a great player.
"Celtic have many good players but Georgios is one of the biggest threats."
