Salerntinana have announced the sacking of coach Paulo Sousa.
The Serie A minnows have also confirmed the appointment of Pippo Inzaghi as his replacement.
Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino has acted with the team managing just three draws this season. Sousa had led Salernitana to a 15th place finish last season.
Iervolino met with Inzaghi on Monday and acted swiftly yesterday to make the change.
Former AC Milan and Juventus striker Inzaghi has been out of work since the end of August, when he left Serie D side LFA Reggio Calabria.
