Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha thinks the club should secure Harry Kane from Tottenham.
The England captain is likely to be sold this window, as he has refused to sign a new deal at the London club.
While United are focusing on a move for Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta, Saha believes Kane is the ideal foil for the club's set of young attackers.
Saha told Betway: "Alejandro Garnacho still has time to learn and work hard, especially in his position on the wing. I'm sure he's wanting to double his starting games from this season. It's very important for Manchester United to get a solid striker upfront so he can support Garnacho.
"We've seen Pep Guardiola neglect having a proper striker in his team, and now he has Erling Haaland, no one asks questions about Manchester City's attack.
“A proper striker can hold the ball up for 10 seconds, which allows players to come to support them or run in behind, these are the qualities you can imagine that Harry Kane could provide.
“Players like Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho will benefit greatly by playing with Kane."
