Ryan Yates had no complaints after Nottingham Forest's defeat at Manchester United.
Yates concedes 3-0 was a fair scoreline.
He said: "To be honest in the end it's probably fair. We conceded two poor goals in the first half which was a bit of a kick in the teeth. We got together, regrouped. Obviously we scored then it got ruled out and we thought about getting to half time.
"We changed a few things tactically, we got in a few times but we couldn't punish them. Obviously they got the goal and killed the game off so it was fair in the end."
Yates added: "I just thought I'd scored. Obviously that's the way it is now with VAR, they find everything, so that's obviously gutting. We had opportunities to score and get ourselves back in it but we couldn't find that killer pass or chance."
