Roma are battling to reach terms with Arsenal over goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
The Guardian says talks are stalling between Arsenal and Roma over a deal to extend Szczesny's loan.
The Polish goalkeeper had appeared set to remain in the Italian capital for another year and the two clubs have been trying to come to a new loan agreement.
But Arsenal do not want to pay the same percentage of Szczesny's wages that they did last season and talks have come to a halt.
As it stands, Szczesny is expected to report to Arsenal's pre-season training when he returns from Euro 2016 duty.
