Roma again ensure Man Utd target Strootman going nowhere

AS Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has yet again made his point clear that Kevin Strootman is not for sale.

The highly-rated 24-year old Dutch midfielder continues to be linked with a January move to Manchester United, where he will be reunited with former Holland boss Louis van Gaal, but Sabatini insists he is going nowhere.

Strootman is yet to play for the Giallorossi this season because of a knee injury that kept him out of the World Cup but Sabatini says there is absolutely no desire to offload the former PSV Eindhoven ace.

"I have found that all of the lavish things that are coming out are stories that are all from England," he told reporters.

"There is no issue with Strootman, who is one of our important players and who we miss very much. There have been months now without him and around him we had built a style of play.

"He will return soon and he is not on the market - we will give him the time needed to recover to being the same as before."
