Roma ace Nicolo Zaniolo has slammed claims he'd reject Italy selection this week.

Zaniolo says he'll always be available for his country.

He said, “In recent weeks, I've had to deal with a blow suffered in Verona and a consequent haematoma that did not allow me to be 100% fit.

“Despite this, I've always tried to grit my teeth and make myself available to the coach and my teammates. In the meantime, I was sorry to read that I would not be available for the national team.

“As always, I will respect coach Mancini's choices, but I never thought of saving myself and not responding to a possible call-up. A hug."
