Leicester City will be overtaken by other Premier League clubs around them.
That is the opinion of current boss Brendan Rodgers, who spoke about the club's ambition.
Rodgers believes that Leicester must invest more in the transfer market, or they are at risk of being cast adrift.
Leicester only spent £15 million in the summer, despite selling players, notably Wesley Fofana to Chelsea.
“Where a club like ourselves are at, we don't have the luxuries and the depths, especially if we have one or two missing," Rodgers stated, per Leicestershire Live.
“It's a very difficult league. It's not all about money, but if you're going to progress, you have to be able to bring players in. If you don't, you stand still and others overtake you.
“For us, these guys are working so hard and some of them are developing really well. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, he's played what is a full season of Premier League football, so he's going to get better. Harvey Barnes, all these guys, they're improving and developing. You want to continually develop the squad and keep pushing, otherwise it's a very difficult league."
