Manchester United legend Bryan Robson says fans must be patient with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer feared that the prospect of losing to Liverpool would end his reign, but he has been reassured his job is safe and backing will come in the transfer market.
Robson says the patience of United fans has been key.
He told the Mirror: “As a manager, you need more or less three years to build the squad you want. That is easy for me to say and I am not paying the money running the club.
“But I do believe three years is the time when you make the decision on whether your manager is doing well, doing great or having problems.
“They have hung their hat on Ole being the man for the job, reinvigorating their youth policy and developing more kids coming through the ranks."
