Famous Scouse actor Ricky Tomlinson wants to see more from Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.

Liverpool spent over £100m in the wake of Luis Suarez's departure to Barcelona in the summer, and Tomlinson has been frustrated with Balotelli.

"Balotelli hasn't done anything and the fans aren't too pleased with him," he told the Daily Express.

"It's also about commitment. I remember the Billy Shankly days - players would have died for Shankly.

"He wouldn't let players answer back. He would say: 'When you put the shirt on, you represent Liverpool'."
