REVEALED: What Real Madrid players told ref Lopez after Girona draw

Real Madrid players were furious with the match officials after their draw against Girona on Sunday.

Marco Asensio's handball, which led to Girona's penalty, and Rodrygo being denied a winner, infuriated the Real players. Toni Kroos was also sent off for the first time in his career.

At the final whistle, Real's players confronted ref Melero Lopez, with the mic picking up words from Dani Carvajal and Isco.

“I think it is impossible to interpret the game worse, impossible," said Carvajal.

Asensio, for his part, still could not believe the spotkick that he was penalised for: “Tell me where to put my hand".
