Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has made direct contact with the agent of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Le 10 Sport says Zidane called Raiola to make it clear that he remained keen on signing Pogba.

Zidane took action after reports emerged of Real going cold on the prospect of signing the midfielder as Juventus stepped up their interest.

The Frenchman has told Raiola to assure Pogba that Real remain keen, though the feedback was mixed.

It's claimed while Raiola welcomed Zidane's call, he also warned that Pogba was now seriously considering a return to Juve at the end of this season.
