Barcelona were never serious about a deal for Atletico Madrid fullback Theo Hernandez, it has been revealed.

Theo passed a Real Madrid medical yesterday amid reports of the Merengues being prepared to go to €30 million to sign the youngster.

It had been suggested Theo also had a bumper offer from Barca ahead of the summer market.

However, Marca says Barca were never interested in signing the youngster. The Catalans are happy with their left-back options in Lucas Digne and Jordi Alba.

Instead, the Barca rumours were coming from Atletico, which were desperate not to lose Theo to their great city rivals.
