Reuell Walters happy playing for Arsenal U23 coach Kevin Betsy

Reuell Walters has praised the influence of Arsenal U23s head coach Kevin Betsy.

17-year-old Walters signed his first professional contract with Arsenal on Tuesday.

And the exciting right-back has praised Betsy while stating his intention to break into the first-team.

"There's a lot of stuff behind the scenes that I've been doing to work on my game off the pitch, and also around the training ground that's helped me on the pitch," he told Arsenal Media.

"I can't say a bad word about Kevin Betsy. Me and him get on really well and Mehmet (Ali) has just joined us as assistant as well and I've known Mehmet for a while now, so it's been really good getting to see him again."

He added: "My goal is definitely to try and break into the first team, I see myself being at this club long term, if I push on.

"I try to not really base my game around anyone in the first team, but I do look at them for how they train and how they apply themselves every day, so that I can copy that and be the best version of myself."
