Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says Manchester City's front office sets them apart.

Redknapp insists manager Pep Guardiola's success is down to the likes of Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain.

"Looking at their scouting and recruitment system at Man City, they only bring in top players," Redknapp told the Manchester Evening News.

"I think the people [Pep] Guardiola has got working with him are fantastic. That's the big thing for Pep.

"He hasn't got time to keep going off watching players, he's too busy working everyday, coaching, managing. What Man City have got [director of football, Txiki Begiristain], they say he's got fantastic knowledge of players everywhere in the world.

"He would have a list of players ready for Pep that they will be looking at and studying and they will pick the right players again, I'm sure. That's where Man United [have gone wrong], their recruitment hasn't been good."
