Redknapp: Arsenal are out of the Champions League and should focus on Premier League and FA Cup

Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp believes Arsenal should shift their focus to the Premier League and FA Cup after losing the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie to Barcelona 2-0.

Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Redknapp said he felt Arsenal's chances of overturning the two-goal deficit in the return leg were 'slim to none' and they must now look to prioritise the other competitions they are competing in.

"Arsenal can hold their heads high. They played against a better team and they created chances. But let's not kid ourselves, they're going out," Redknapp wrote.

The odds of them turning this tie around are slim-to-none. They have to switch their attention to the Premier League and the FA Cup.

"The Champions League must be their lowest priority of the three competitions they're still in, Wenger has got to protect against injuries and most importantly get ready for an assault on the league."
